FAQ
What is a junk? A boat?
In Hong Kong, it’s tradition to party on a boat called a junk. We’ll head out onto the water to drink, dance, swim, and enjoy the views.
Where do we start?
Exact boarding location, timing to be shared closer to the date. Expect a Friday morning departure around 10:30am from Central, returning late afternoon.
Where are you staying?
We’re staying at the Marriott Ocean Park.
Never been to Hong Kong?
For overseas guests, we’re organizing an optional tourist day on Thursday, April 30th with a hike, lunch and more. Details to follow.
Will there be an after party?
Yes. On Saturday (the day after the wedding) we’ll organize an optional night out in Hong Kong.
Can I bring a +1?
Please ask first. The boat has limited capacity and we want everyone comfortable. We’re aiming for a maximum of 45 guests.
How do I get around Hong Kong?
Taxis are easy and reliable. You can hail one on the street. Uber also works but isn’t necessary.
What is Elevated Resort Casual?
Think stylish summer attire. Linen, light fabrics, and whites encouraged. Shorts and short sleeves are welcome. Please skip tank tops, swimwear, and overly sporty outfits.
Shoes?
Flat, boat-friendly shoes recommended. Heels are not your friend on a junk.
What’s the food and drinks situation?
Open bar all day and plenty of food. We’ll follow up closer to the date regarding dietary restrictions.
Are towels provided?
Unfortunately not. Borrow one from your hotel and bring generous amounts of sunscreen.
Can we swim?
Yes. Bring swimwear if you’d like to jump in.
